Arran ChallengeSaturday 4th and Sunday 5th May
Take on the ultimate challenge on the Isle of Arran with Maggie’s Glasgow and see Scotland in miniature. The first day after getting the ferry we cycle from Brodick round to Lochranza where we spend the night. On the Sunday there are 13 miles cycling to do before we walk / hike up Goat Fell which is the highest mountain on the island at 2,867 feet. Cycling and walking on a fabulous weekend close to home. The Pentlands Magnificent Seven!Saturday 15th June
Join us with St Columba’s Hospice Care for our second Magnificent Seven in the Pentland Hills. The distance is 11 miles and 3,050 feet of climbing with an alternative Five Peaks around 7 miles in total. Lanarkshire 3 PeaksSaturday 17th August
Our fourth running of this favourite with Maggie’s Lanarkshire. Taking in Lanarkshire’s 3 highest peaks being Tinto (2,530 feet), Culter Fell (2,454 feet) and Green Lowther (2,402). Arrochar AlpsSaturday 24th August
Take on the famous Arrochar Alps with Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland. View the bonnie summits of Ben Narnian, Ben Ime and the Cobbler. This challenge is for newbies to the walking scene, along with experienced hill walkers. Sign up details with CHSS will be announced soon. |
Off the Beatson TrackSunday 25th August
After 3,000 walkers joined us with the Beatson Cancer Charity last year we are back for an 11th year in 2024. Starting and finishing at the Riverside Museum this 6 mile walk takes in highlights of the west end including the Forth and Clyde Canal, Botanic Gardens, and Kelvingrove Park & Museum. Fife 4 Peaks ChallengeSaturday 31st August
The circular route with Maggie’s Fife takes on four of the Lomond Hills; East Lomond, West Lomond, Bishop Hill and Munduff Hill. Cycle to IonaWednesday 4th to Sunday 8th September
Cycle from Scotland’s capital city, Edinburgh, all the way to the remote island of Iona off Scotland’s west coast with Cure Parkinson's. Taking in Loch Lomond, the Rest and Be Thankful, and Mull on the way. There are overnight stays in Glasgow, Inveraray, and two nights in Oban. This event includes full support including accommodation, all meals, and transport back to Edinburgh on completion of the event. See Scotland at it’s very best! Basque roads to BarcelonaFriday 13th to Friday 20th September
Starting in Santander, we take in the joys of both Bilbao and San Sebastian while enjoying the famous Basque roads. The first two days between them cover 151 miles and 10,800 feet of elevation before we then enjoy a gentler route to Barcelona with 313 miles and 9,200 feet across the next four days. In total then it is approximately 500 miles and 20,000 feet of climbing across the six days of cycling. Similar in terms of challenge to our Channel to the Med cycle and not to be missed on this brand new event! There are 7 nights accommodation plus all meals and our usual comprehensive support package including bike transfers, from £1,750. |

Our latest cycling adventure with St Columba’s Hospice Care is through the Rhone Valley from Marseille up to Lyon. Fantastic wine region and as always in France, great roads and fine food. Four days cycling covering around 240 miles; similar to previous Celtic Challenge events in both Scotland and France. There is the option (but it is only an option) to take on the mighty Mont Ventoux as well - one of the iconic Tour De France climbs. Channel to the MedMay 2025
Cycle the length of France covering around 627 miles (approximately 1,000 km) and climb around 27,500 feet over 8 days. After meeting in Portsmouth to get the ferry and spending the night in Ouistreham, we start cycling on the Saturday, passing the ancient city of Caen. We head down through central France avoiding the worst of the French mountains. There are forests and beautiful countryside to take in including the Midi-Pyrenees before we approach the south coast and our final destination on the coast of The Mediterranean. Prices from £1,825 per person with a maximum of 20 participants in each group. |
Malin Head to Mizen Head, IrelandSaturday 1st to Saturday 8th June 2025
Cycle from the top of Ireland to the bottom, taking quiet roads down through the island and seeing it in a way that only cycling allows. Great hotels and stop offs on the way, this trip is on the basis of all meals and full support throughout the trip. Optional travel from Belfast to Malin Head and back to Belfast at the end.
