New Ways 3 Peaks challengeFriday 6th to Monday 9th May 2022
Join New Ways to overcome the three highest mountains in each of Wales, England and Scotland. We meet in Wales and stay overnight before taking on Snowdon and then being transported up to the Lake District. After a restful night in a hotel we then take on Scafell Pike before moving up to Scotland and again after a night recovering we then take on the toughest of them all, Ben Nevis. |
Five FerriesSaturday 21st May 2022
This challenging one day cycle is a great way to see the Clyde coast and the Cowal and Kintyre Peninsulas. Not one for the faint-hearted, you can expect long, steep climbs, uneven road and undulating hills in places but you'll also be rewarded with beautiful coastal stretches and incredible views. Ferry 1 takes us from Ardrossan to Brodick. We then cycle to Lochranza for 14 miles. Ferry 2 takes us from Lochranza to Claonaig. The cycle from Claonaig to Tarbert covers 11 miles and then we stop for lunch. Ferry 3 takes us to Portavadie. From here we cycle to Colintraive for 19 miles - a tough leg of the journey with fantastic views at the top. Ferry 4 takes us from Colintraive to Rhuboddach - not much time to rest with this ferry only taking 5 minutes! We then cycle to Rothesay for 8 miles, on an easy last leg. A final ferry to Wemyss Bay brings us back to the mainland. £85 per person. |

This will be the 10th Celtic Challenge following the postponement of the event in 2020. Starting at the St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh we spend 4 days cycling 200 miles and seeing Scotland at it’s very best before finishing at the iconic Iona Abbey on the remote island accessed via Oban and then across the Isle of Mull. |

Friday 8th July - Sunday 17th July 2022 (SOLD OUT) Cycle the length of France covering around 627 miles (approximately 1,000 km) and climb around 27,500 feet over 8 days. After meeting in Portsmouth to get the ferry and spending the night in Ouistreham, we start cycling on the Saturday, passing the ancient city of Caen. We head down through central France avoiding the worst of the French mountains. There are forests and beautiful countryside to take in including the Midi-Pyrenees before we approach the south coast and our final destination on the coast of The Mediterranean. What's included? Transportation of bags and bikes to Portsmouth and back from France to the UK, with 3 arranged drop off points. Ferry tickets and transportation of all luggage throughout the trip. 9 nights accommodation with secure storage for bikes. All meals, snacks and drinks. Two support vehicles and basic bike maintenance throughout. First aid qualified guides, signage on the route plus support and encouragement from at least three Sport Ecosse Events staff. Munich to VeniceJune 2023
Leave from the Bavarian city of Munich and head down through the Alps to Innsbruck. Then up and out of Innsbruck, into the Dolomites, cross into Italy and onto Brunich. After a challenging first couple of days cycling there is then a couple of days of easy cycling down to wonderful Venice. There is some time to spend in Munch before we set off and again in Venice once we have finished. 307 miles in 4 days including 10,000 feet climbing. Ride the BalticsJuly 2023
We set off from Riga and travel up through Latvia for 2 days cycling until we reach the Estonian border where we stay in the unique town of Valga / Valka with the town split between the countries. We head up the Estonian coast and then onto Tallinn. A great experience seeing these Baltic states as they really are not only in terms of both impressive capitals but also the smaller towns and countryside in between. Around 400 miles cycling across 5 days cycling but genuinely flat cycling throughout! There is also some time to spend in Riga and a full day in Tallinn before we return.
