Sport Ecosse Events was set up in 2008 by Kevin Gerrie, who had until then been a successful fundraiser, working for Marie Curie for 12 years and running a team that raised over £8 million annually. With this fundraising expertise at its core we are able to offer charities excellent events that maximise income and offer companies the opportunity to assist their Corporate Social Responsibility practices.

We provide a unique, professional service; one-off challenge events built for your organisation’s specific requirements, giving you competitive advantage. Our bespoke events offer you the opportunity to build relationships, whether you are a world renowned corporation or local charity. 
Not only do we have an excellent fundraising background we also have more than 20 years of event management experience providing highly professional, well organised and tailored events. As part of our service we also offer advice on participant recruitment, marketing, and PR, calling on the expertise of KMG Consultants

We believe that the UK holds some of the world’s best landscapes which are the perfect setting for challenge events and we have put great events on in each of the four UK countries. Other events undertaken by Sport Ecosse Events have taken place in the Republic of Ireland, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Latvia, and Estonia.​
​Charities to have used our services include: Marie Curie Cancer Care, Highland Hospice, St Columba’s Hospice, Ayrshire Hospice, St Joseph’s Hospice, St Luke’s Hospice, Farleigh Hospice, New Ways, Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse, St Vincent’s Hospice, Leeds Cares, Bath Rugby Foundation, Beatson Cancer Charity, Scottish Huntington’s Association, AT Society, Debra and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). Companies include Experian QAS, Capital, Links, Alvarez & Marsal, Mondial Assistance and Occam. 

Meet the Team

Our event staff are all skilled, qualified professionals who are highly motivated to provide an excellent service to each organisation and each participant on our events. Cycling and mountain challenges are at the core of what we do but we have a trusted group of talented individuals to call upon, which allows us to offer a wide range of events. ​

Kevin

Managing Director
Kevin established the company back in 2008 and still leads most events, especially the multi-day cycling events which are his favourites. He doesn’t speak before two coffees in the morning!

Lead Event Support
Alan has been with us since early 2016 and is the ultimate professional, helping participants in any way that he can. Usually seen driving vans, putting up waymarks, and using his handyman skills to fix anything that is broken!

Administration & Finances
Always on top of the finances and admin, while often participating in our events in Scotland, Normandy, and Mallorca. She's not a fan of big down hills on the bike.

Started off in the van with a clipboard but was soon tempted out onto a bike. Helps us deliver top class cycling, walking, and mountain events in a personable way.
